About:
The objective of Asians Choose Tobacco-Free (ACT) is to promote, support and protect the health, traditions, and cultural values of Asians as well as to safeguard them from tobacco and other smokeless tobacco use. The goal of the project is to reduce tobacco use among Asian Americans in Central Ohio.
The project focuses on youth prevention geared towards children of 10-15 years of age are educated through an evidence based program, Project Towards No Tobacco (TNT). The Other components of the project are to promote Ohio Tobacco Free law and use of Quit Line.
The Project invites community leaders and advocates taking active part in tobacco prevention in Ohio. The dissemination of information was given at International Festival, Indian Festival and Asian Festival.
